The London Art Fair is on at the Business Design Centre with loads of interesting stuff particularly in the Goldsmiths' students curatorship of Photo50 and also the Art Projects section: the wonderfully named The House of Fairy Tales, Yvonne de Rosa at corbettPROJECTS (P6), Fernando X. Gonzalez (Galeria Estampa Madrid (P4), Hermann Nitsch's 'Viennese Actionism' (P15), Gerry Judah's art inspired by Middle Eastern conflicts (P24), Veronica Bailey who examined 1,000 books from the Coutts & Co old staff library published between 1800-1901 to give a literary, socio-political portrait Hours of Devotion (P11) and A Shot in the Head (young artists at Carter presents at (Stand P9). The ghosts of the Menezes killing live on: sorry, when the police do it it's a mistake but for mere mortals I think the term commonly in use is murder.

Have your mobile phone and lawyer's number at the ready when exiting onto the street as I was stopped (for no reason) by 4 police officers last night. The borough Commander's name is Bob Carr. New-Labour neo-Stalinism is rife on the streets of Labour Islington. Still waiting for my apology...I'm 500% behind you Mr.Damien Green. And it was good to see some performance art enlivening the House of Commons yesterday:

Bet his constituents were pleased with their representative. What can we expect from David Cameron on the other side of the house?

Dramatist, author and barrister Sir John Mortimer has died. He created the 'freelance freedom fighter' character Rumpole of the Bailey and defended amongst many high profile cases the obscenities of Oz Magazine and the book Lady Chatterley's Lover. He also liked champagne. Let's open a Jeroboam on those Metropolitan police shall we as a mark of respect?
